I'm still a tad bit frustrated and irritated by what I realized last night. No, this may come as something as little to you but it's not something that we can trifle with, or at least dismiss.
Went to watch a movie, right, the over-active imaginations of middle-aged men is quite overwhelming that I found X-men to be quite enjoyable. My friends and I have been going to Tampines Mall for as long as we can remember. And yes, it has been revamped and gone through quite a lot of changes, but it was absolutely terrible and infuriating to know that that change has ruffled my feathers!
So, the bf and I decided we were up for a quick dessert before the movie, so I thought Gelare's might be an apt place. Since, it was near the cinema place, and we could squeeze in a scoop or two of sin, we headed there. I was really, and surprisingly in for a rude shock when it was replaced by something unimaginable, as I couldn't read the signs of the new eating place, let alone fathom what they were selling!
Immediately I said, "Again?" Just when I was getting comfortable and settled that there is this shop at this mall, and this shop at another mall, they went ahead and played mind games with us!
This is not the first time, you believe it? (ya, of coz not, you're not stupid!) My friend, epi, was once on the way to my place, when she called to confirm that Roti Boy had a shop at Tampines Mall (yet again!), at the basement. She just went the week before. And lo behold! It was replaced by cardboard covering the space, and a lame, pathetic sign that said something to the effect, "Another new exciting shop coming your way!"
New, exciting. How fucking nice.
Yes, i'm still a bit hot and bothered. Because, I am directionally challenged. I am landmark challenged. Whatever that means. I cannot, for the sake of my life, remember or know how to get from Orchard MRT station to Far East Plaza! Which i usually confuse with City Plaza, or the many plazas there are in town.
I'm sure there are many more like me.
Because for pple like us, we depend on our good ole memory and the fact that we have faith that a certain shop will stay at a certain mall for at least 10 years! Geez!
Wait till I get my license.
And a car.
play it softly, so gently♥
